A long-established manufacturer of Nanbu Tekki for 400 years, a traditional craft that Iwate is proud to the world. The 13th generation Morihisa (Hankichi Suzuki) was designated as a Living National Treasure in 1974, establishing the name of "Suzuki Morihisa" immortal.
A classic Arare (hailstone) tetsubin. It has a plump silhouette and a generous capacity, and its surface is decorated with traditional hail pattern. This tetsubin is a good choice as a first tetsubin since it is reasonably priced for its size. Colored black. Mukuzuru handle and Waguchi mouth rim.
The ions in the tetsubin dissolve and remove chalk and chlorine from the water, producing a mild, sweet hot water. This sweetness is said to go well with the bitterness of green tea and deep-roasted coffee.

※It can be used with induction heaters (IH), but please keep the heat on low to medium. The cast iron is very hard, and the vibration that high IH temperture creates may cause the tetsubin to crack or break. The tetsubin will also be delivered with a guide that explains how to use it.
